What are your thoughts on the bark collar "and" shock collar "used to train a dog?"
My 7 months old lab puppy barks at night if she is not in the room with me. We went out of its cage one night and now he is relentless in its determination. When I put out of his pen that barks for hours. The neighbors and I are sleep deprived. Bran also training devices i should buy?
Let me tell you about my experience with electric collars. I use to think they were very cruel, so I actually did some research on them and gave them an opportunity and now I think they are a valuable training tool. Do not use for anything and I do not even use them in a high value, but work quickly and, frankly, I think that are more human than a dog continually thwarted obstinate. I have a dog that pulled the guests. No matter if you used a prong collar, a gentle leader, a harness, or anything else, he just flipped. After almost losing the right to walk with it, I used the electric collar. Some corrections in a more adjustments low and now walks perfectly, with or without the collar. For me. that seems much more human than ever shake the belt and potentially damage your neck. When used correctly, do not harm the dog, are a nuisance, not painful. I've used since then to cure many of the behaviors with my dogs and cats chasing, which is potentially dangerous. I only use it when I feel nothing else is working, but I really believe that when used properly training tools are human. Like anything else, is the way it is used that determines whether it is human or not. I have the Dogtra brand and has been wonderful. Edit: greekman, love the avatar! LOL
